Dixie Cup Spring Classic was held at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Georgia May2-4, 2013. This was the first show that Western Dressage was included in the classes at the Dixie Cup Spring Classic.

Western Dressage Association® of America member Meagen Pass competed with BalancedRiding Stable’s APHA 2007 mare, Truly Unsurpassed, in the Western Dressage Introductory Level tests 1, 2, and 3. She won all three of her classes, making her the Champion of Introductory Level. Meagen also won the Dixie Cup Spring Classic High Point Champion with a score of 75.80%.

BalancedRiding Stables is located in Calhoun, Georgia and is owned by head trainer Nancy Searles. Nancy is a WDAA member and a Professional Trainer who has completed the Train The Trainers™ education program, as well as the owner and trainer of Truly Unsurpassed. She has also competed Truly Unsurpassed in the Western Dressage Basic level test 2, winning first place.

“I am so honored to be the very first Western Dressage High Point Champion for the Dixie Cup Spring Classic. Nancy and I had a wonderful time and everyone was extremely welcoming. Nancy and I have always believed in and trained our horses with the foundation of Dressage, even though we train and compete in English and Western disciplines: Hunt Seat, Dressage, Combined Training, Western Pleasure, Western Dressage, and Trail. When we heard that Western Dressage was becoming a new discipline and will be included in shows, we became so excited because now Dressage does not have to be limited, it can be reachable for anyone interested.”
