What is the Color of your Western Dressage Journey?

“I’ve been showing horses for 42 years, but only because I’m having fun.” – Ellen DiBella, WDAA secretary

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the spirit of the 2014 WDAA World Championship Show, to be Nov. 1-2 in Tulsa, Okla. Fun will be had, and lots of it!

We want to encourage everyone at the show – and those cheering them on at home – to get in on the fun. Start by ordering items with the exclusive WDAA 2014 World Show logo, and show us the Colors of Your Journey! We’d love to see a selfie of you in your shirt – maybe alongside the horse you’ll be riding – on WDAA’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/WesternDressageAssociationAmerica, with the hashtag #WDAAWorldShowColors.

If you’re holding down the fort at home, offer your favorite riders some encouragement by sending a photo or video of their No. 1 fan (you!) wearing WDAA apparel to show that you’re thinking about them and wishing them luck on their championship rides! Don’t forget to tag WDAA in your social media posts and use the hastag so we can see, too!

Fair warning: These collectible shirts, as well as other World Show logoed items, are only available through the WDAA website. Go to www.westerndressageassociation.org and click on “General Store” at top. We promise … if you’re going to the show, you’ll have serious “shirt envy” if you see others walking or riding around wearing their WDAA colors! Place your orders soon so you’ll be sure to have your merchandise in time for the trip to Tulsa!

But should you show up at the World Show without WDAA logoed items, don’t despair too much. WDAA staff and volunteers will have some of these special logoed giveaway items for deserving WDAA members. What do you have to do to get one of these coveted prizes? That remains to be seen, but you certainly could start by attending the WDAA Annual Convention (Oct. 30-31 in Tulsa) with your great ideas to help move the association successfully into 2015! (Register for the convention at www.wdaaworldshow.org/convention.)

When WDAA says “It’s about the journey!” we mean it…

and we plan on having lots of colorful fun along the way!
