WDAA Executive Board Update

The WDAA Executive board and the WDAA staff and show management for the WDAA World Championship Show are looking forward to  a wonderful  World Show and  Annual meeting  in Tulsa, OK the first week in November.  The Annual Meeting is an opportunity for everyone to share successes and challenges for our growing discipline of Western Dressage; to contribute ideas and to chart our Journey as part of our Strategic Planning process; to honor our wonderful volunteers and our great horses; and to sharing in the rule making process. Please plan to join us in celebrating Western Dressage and our Western Dressage horses!

Our President, Guy Brown, has faced a series of health challenges since early in 2015;  these health concerns have led Guy to step down  as WDAA President.  He  plans to fulfill  the last 3 months of his duty as a general board member.  Please join the WDAA Executive Board and the WDAA staff in thanking Guy for his service.

Ellen DiBella, our Secretary and  the Founding President of WDAA, has agreed to serve as President and to guide the organization until the November meeting of the WDAA Executive Board.  This transition should be seamless and will allow  our organization to move forward with no disruption.

After being without a Treasurer for over 6 months, Linnea Sidi has spent several months getting familiar with the internal processes of WDAA and implementing the final recommendations of the Internal Control Audit creating a number of SOPs and reviewing budget variances.

We look forward to seeing you at the Annual Meeting and to hearing your thoughts that will help to guide our Journey.
