St. Louis National Charity Horse Show Announces Judges

Lexington, KY – The St. Louis National Charity Horse Show, scheduled for Sept. 26-30, 2012, is pleased to announce its judging panel.

The show will continue to feature the three-judge system but with four judges available. Peter Fenton, returning for his second year as the Show Manager for St. Louis, notes that the addition of a fourth judge allows flexibility and an expanded rotation of judges for the variety of divisions that St. Louis has to offer.

  • James Hale                Columbiana, Alabama
  • Maria Gilman             Land O’Lakes, Forida
  • John Whalen              Monroe, North Carolina
  • Matthew Roberts       Cave Creek, Arizona

The show is also pleased to announce that Howard Schatzberg will be the official photographer for St. Louis National Charity Horse Show and that Seehorse Video is the official video service and will offer daily live streaming video of all classes.

In addition to the tradition that St. Louis has to offer, they are re-introducing a division from the past to the 2012 show.  There will be a Parade Class Division (all breeds), that will feature two classes to highlight the rebirth of this grand tradition.  The Academy Show, newly renamed the ‘St. Louis National Charity Horse Show Academy Classic,’ is back with Saturday afternoon classes and Sunday championships.  10 ‘graduating’ riders will compete in the 2nd annual Becker Brothers WTC Challenge, an educational clinic-style class with a $500 gift certificate from Becker Brothers as the grand prize. Additionally, the ASHA National Pleasure Equitation Championship has a new home in St. Louis.

Box seats once again can be purchased to enjoy the show ringside and there will be an exhibitor party each night immediately following the evening performance with live music highlighting Friday night’s party. Further, the facility is close to The Meadows at Lake St. Louis, the newest shopping and restaurant development in the area.

The prize lists for St. Louis National Charity Horse Show will be mailed in the next few weeks. The website will soon have the entry forms and prize list available at http://stlhorseshow.com/.
